PITTSBURGH (January 25, 2011) - Emerson (NYSE: EMR) has acquired Pittsburgh-based Turbine Control Service Associates, Inc., a leading independent provider of generator excitation control systems for power plants. TCSA to provide DGC Nuclear Installation in Brazil |

TCSA is excited to broaden its market penetration with our first DGC installation in South America. In our first partnership project with Westinghouse Nuclear, TCSA will be performing a voltage regulator retrofit at Brazil’s ANGRA Nuclear Plant. The project is on a fast track -- due to ship at the end of July for an August 2010 installation. “It is very exciting for TCSA to be working with the OEM; Westinghouse Nuclear,” says Joe Rossi, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for TCSA. In addition to the work in Brazil, TCSA will be installing three nuclear DGCs domestically in 2010: one at Entergy Corporation’s ANO 1 and two at Dominion North Anna. |
